Mohamed Khalil joined Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) in early 2012 in the capacity of Vice President Commercial and Marketing. His primary responsibility lies in developing the company’s commercial standing  and marketing Bahrain International Airport to broader audiences. Accordingly he manages the Aviation Marketing, Property and Retail, Passenger Services and Cargo departments.

With a wealth of experience spanning over 12 years and a track-proven success in real estate development and investment, construction and project management as well as contracts management and strategic planning, Khalil brings into his post an impeccable grasp of the market dynamics with the aim of propelling BAC to achieve its business objectives.

Prior to joining BAC, Khalil held the position of Executive Director, Head of the Property Development & Services Department at Al Khaleej Development Co. "Tameer" where he was responsible for managing a vast array of real estate investment and development projects and was more particularly involved in overlooking the different stages of project and property development including the initiation, feasibility, conceptualization, design development, design management, construction management, project management, strategic planning and value engineering of real estate development projects. Khalil furthermore served as Board Member in a number of facilities and property management, contracting and real estate development companies including First Gulf Real Estate Co., Tamcon Contracting Co., BIW Labour Accommodation Co. and Circo Total Facilities Management Co.

Khalil holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Bahrain and is the first Bahraini to be registered as a Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) with the National Association of Realtors (NAR) in the United States. Khalil is a Member in the Bahrain Engineering Society, Committee for Organizing Engineering Professional Practice, Middle East North Africa Real Estate Society (MENARES), National Association of Realtors (USA) and the Project Management Institute (Arabian Gulf Chapter).
