Position : Land Surveyor

Reporting To : CEO or as assigned by CEO

BAC Facility Management wishes to employ a Land Surveyor, responsible for developing, executing and supervising civil Land Surveyor activities, planning and setting out work and data preparation for the assigned work at the Bahrain International Airport, Airfield and landside. Act as a point of contact for internal and external customers related to the Land Survey reports.

The Main duties will include:

· Undertaking land surveys/measurements using a variety of specialist technical equipment (including laser alignment devices, satellite positioning systems etc.)

· Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.

· Record the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation and dimensions of land or land features.

· analyzing data using plans, maps, charts and computer applications such as CAD and GIS.

· Coordinate findings with the work of engineering and architectural personnel, clients and other concerned personnel.

· Develop criteria for survey methods and procedures.

· Presenting data to clients.

· Advising on technical matters and whether construction plans are viable.

· Managing projects and/or multi-disciplinary teams.

· Producing and/or advising about construction plans and drawings.

· Assist the Organization in the evaluation and approval of the design reviews that are prepared by consultants, cross-checking against operational requirements.

Required Competencies/ Experience

· Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering from Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors

· At least 10 years work experience in a similar position, preferably in the field of Facility Management and/or Airport.

· Candidates must be numerate and technically competent, with excellent IT, problem solving and analytical skills. The ability to analyze data and produce results with a high degree of accuracy is a key part of the role.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills are important, as are team working and negotiation.

· A full driving license is also usually needed in order to travel to sites.

· Experience in Risk Assessment.

· Excellent internal and external customer service skills.

· Ability to plan, priorities and work to strict deadlines.
