Chief Airport Operating Officer
Mohamed Thamir Al Kaabi oversees management of the Bahrain International Airport since being appointed as VP Airport Operations in January 2011. In his current role, Al Kaabi is also responsible for preparing plans that will further enhance the capabilities, operational standards and efficiency of the airport.
Prior to this, Al Kaabi held the position of Director of Operations at BAC where he put to good use over 34 years of experience and a proven track record of achievements in the aviation industry. Among Al Kaabi’s expertise includes extensive knowledge and a broad based experience in Air Traffic Management, Airspace Planning, Aviation Safety, Security, Strategic Planning, Project Management, Risk Analysis, Airport Regulations, Operations, Commercials and Airport Management.
Al Kaabi obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Glamorgan University in the UK. When not busy with his job at BAC, he enjoys playing football and reading.
