Public Announcement: Car Owners Urged to Remove Abandoned Vehicles from Car Park “C” at Bahrain International Airport

Following on from the recent closure of Long-term Car Park “C” at Bahrain International Airport (BIA), Bahrain Airport Company would like to urge car owners to remove their abandoned cars from the car park premises to facilitate the commencement of enabling works consistent with the construction schedule for the new Airport Modernization Program.

Car Park “C” was permanently closed on November 15th 2014. BAC would like to inform the public that if abandoned vehicles are not removed by 21st of December 2014, BAC will be making the necessary arrangements to remove the cars.

BAC has been working closely with the managers of BIA’s car parks - BAC Facility Management (BAC FM) and key stakeholders, to ensure effective alternative parking solutions are put in place and minimum disruption is caused to passenger movement. To compensate for the closure of Car Park “C”, long-term Car Parks “B”, “D” and “E” have been made accessible to provide an alternative long term parking solution. In addition, BAC has increased the provision of shuttle buses between the Airport Car Parks and the Airport Terminal Building as well as the frequency of pick-ups and drop-offs for the shuttle buses to maintain efficiency and speed of service.

We would like to assure the public of our commitment to maintain efficiency and quality of service throughout our operations and thank them for their ongoing support and understanding as the BIA community moves full steam ahead with the ambitious Airport Modernization Program.

BAC is the authority responsible for enhancing BIA and increasing the airport’s contribution to the local economy in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision.  In its operational role, BAC is responsible for elevating the airport’s operations, infrastructure and services. This is set to improve BIA’s capabilities and cater to the growing number of passengers as well as the changing demands of stakeholders.
