Soft Refurbishment to Take Place at the Arrival Concourse in Bahrain International Airport

Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) has successfully signed an agreement with Almoayyed Contracting Group for the Soft refurbishment works related to the Arrivals Concourse & the customs hall in Bahrain International Airport (BIA).

The announcement came following a signing ceremony with Almoayyed Contracting Group during Bahrain International Airshow 2016 attended by Mr. Mohamed Yousif AlBinfalah, Chief Executive Officer of BAC and Mr. Arjun Rana, Chief Operating Officer, Almoayyed Contracting Group.

Welcoming the signing ceremony, Chief Executive Officer of BAC Mr. Mohamed Yousif AlBinfalah commented: "On-going refurbishments will be an investment in the current facility, these will provide a pleasant travel journey and an enhanced passenger experience for our passengers as to provide them with additional comfort and welcome them to the Kingdom of Bahrain. Nine contractors submitted their proposals through a Public Tender issued by the Bahrain Tender Board and after a thorough technical & financial evaluation, Almoayyed Contracting Group's proposal was found to be the most favorable and inline with our aspirations of improving passengers' experience in Bahrain International Airport. We are anticipating the completion of the project by the first week of May 2016 for the Arrivals Concourse and end of June 2016 for the Customs area. The contract value is at BD1,271,269 (US $3,368,863) and will include Installing new wall & columns laminates, new structures of boutiques & showcases, LCD's, new blind screens and a new stretched ceiling with new light fittings for the mentioned areas".
